As part of our continual improvements to the hosted services that we provide, we will over the coming months be undertaking an exercise to upgrade our AS2 Gateway.  This will ensure we can continue to maintain the high levels of availability for this key component of your solution and ensure future reliability.  As part of this activity some straightforward changes will be required by your trading partners to migrate to the upgraded Gateway, however Kewill customers will not be required to take any specific action.

At 10:00 on Tuesday 24th November 2009 we requested your trading partners change their AS2 configuration to direct the traffic to the new server addresses.  At this stage the traffic was re-routed through the upgraded AS2 Gateway network, but processed using the original gateway.  This change required no action from Kewill customers.

In order to minimise the amount of configuration changes required by your trading partners the existing AS2 certificates, AS2 identifiers and encryption methods were migrated to the upgraded gateway.

A change on Wednesday 6th January 2010 at 10:00 will see functionality of the new gateway activated, and all processing taking place on the upgraded gateway.  This will be monitorred closely to ensure there are no unexpected issues.
