BT Error 40 – No Logon requested by BT EDI*NET

When receiving the above error, please follow these instructions to try to resolve the problem:

1) Make sure the modem is plugged in to the PC and wall socket

2) Shut down and reboot the PC

3) In Konnexions click on ‘Setup’ and choose ‘Mailbox’

4) ‘Double click’ the mailbox that has a code of ‘BTWINC’

5) On the ‘Dialling’ screen change the ‘Baud Rate’ to ‘9600’ and the ‘Primary Number’ to ‘Ipswich (9600/14400)

6) Click ‘Next’ all the way through and click ‘Finish’, then close the mailbox window

7) If modem is external switch off for approximately 10 seconds, then switch back on

8) Try linking once again.
