Konnexions v1s - How To – Setup a second IBM Mailbox

This article provides information on how to configure a second IBM mailbox for Konnexions v1s. The article assumes that you already have an operational IBM mailbox setup and that you wish to add a mailbox with a different Information Exchange user ID.

To add a second IBM mailbox, follow the steps below:

1) Open Windows Explorer

2) Open the C:\WINLINK folder. Under this folder you should have a folder called EXPWIN, if this does not exist then please contact the helpdesk.

3) Create a copy of the EXPWIN folder (i.e. select the EXPWIN folder, press CTRL+C and then press CTRL+V)

4) Rename the Copy of EXPWIN folder to EXPWIN2 (i.e. select the Copy of EXPWIN folder, press F2 and type EXPWIN2 and press [Enter])

5) Open the EXPWIN2 folder

6) Delete the file WIN_EXP.INI

7) Run Konnexions v1s

8) Click on the Mailboxes icon

9) Click the blue + button

10) Enter a name for the new mailbox (e.g. 2nd IBM mailbox)

11) Click the browse for application button (i.e. the grey and yellow button just to the right of the drop-down box entitled Select the application which will be used to access the mailbox).

12) Double-click the EXPWIN2 folder from the Folders list

13) Select the WIN_EXP.EXE file from the File name list, click OK

14) Click Next

15) On the Identities page enter the new mailbox's Information Exchange Account, User ID and Password. Click Next.

16) Click Next on the Traces and General pages.

17) Click Finish on the Details page.

Your new IBM mailbox should now appear in the list of mailboxes and can be used to send and receive files.
