This article provides information on how to configure
a second IBM mailbox for Konnexions v1s. The article assumes that you
already have an operational IBM mailbox setup and that you wish to add
a mailbox with a different Information Exchange user ID.
1) Open Windows Explorer
2) Open the C:\WINLINK folder. Under this
folder you should have a folder called EXPWIN, if this does
not exist then please contact the helpdesk.
3) Create a copy of the EXPWIN folder (i.e.
select the EXPWIN folder, press CTRL+C and then press CTRL+V)
4) Rename the Copy of EXPWIN folder to EXPWIN2
(i.e. select the Copy of EXPWIN folder, press F2 and type EXPWIN2
and press [Enter])
5) Open the EXPWIN2 folder
6) Delete the file WIN_EXP.INI
7) Run Konnexions v1s
8) Click on the Mailboxes icon
9) Click the blue + button
10) Enter a name for the new mailbox (e.g. 2nd IBM
mailbox)
11) Click the browse for application button (i.e. the
grey and yellow button just to the right of the drop-down box entitled
Select the application which will be used to access the mailbox).
12) Double-click the EXPWIN2 folder from the
Folders list
13) Select the WIN_EXP.EXE file from the File
name list, click OK
14) Click Next
15) On the Identities page enter the new mailbox's
Information Exchange Account, User ID and Password. Click Next.
16) Click Next on the Traces and General
pages.
17) Click Finish on the Details page.
Your new IBM mailbox should now appear in the list of
mailboxes and can be used to send and receive files.
