Error 19156 – No Dial Tone.

When receiving the above error, please follow these instructions to try to resolve the problem:

1) Make sure the modem is plugged in to the PC and wall socket
2) Does it dial? And can you hear the phone dialling?
3) If not then dial out with a normal telephone on that line to test the telephone line
4) If the line is ok then test with a different modem cable and if necessary with a different modem

If the above does not work then follow the instructions below:

1) Shut down the and reboot the PC
2) If modem is external switch off for approximately 10 seconds, then switch back on
3) Shut down and reboot the PC
4) In Konnexions click on ‘Utilities’ and select ‘Reset Session’
5) Try linking once again
