If you receive this error then please follow the steps below for help resolving this issue:

 File and Printer sharing

This error can be the result of having File or Printer sharing enabled (note: this is usually only a problem on computers running Windows 95, 98 or ME). Please follow the instructions below to ensure that this option is not enabled:

1) Open Network options from Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network)

2) Select Dial-up Adapter from the network components list.

3) Click the File and Printer Sharing... button

4) Ensure that neither of the two options are ticked, click OK

5) Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 for all of the following network components (if they exist on your computer):

Dial-up Adapter #2 (VPN Support)
TCP-IP -> Dial-up Adapter

TCP-IP -> Dial-up Adapter #2 (VPN Support)

6) Try linking again with the AT&T dialer

 Proxy Server Settings

If your computer is configured to access the Internet via a proxy server then this may cause problems when using Konnexions. To check your proxy server settings follow the instructions below:

1) Select Internet Options from Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options)

2) Select the Connections tab

3) Select AT&T Global Network from the list of dial-up connections

4) Click the Settings... button

5) Ensure that Use a proxy server... is not ticked, click OK.

6) Click the LAN Settings... button

7) Ensure that Use a proxy server... is not ticked, click OK.

8) Click OK to close the Internet Properties window.

9) Try linking again with the AT&T dialer

 Microsoft Proxy Client

This error can be the result of having the Microsoft Proxy Client running. Take the following steps to resolve this problem:

1) Click here to download the file WSPCFG.INI - this should be saved in the AT&T Dialer folder (C:\Program Files\ATT Dialer).

2) Restart the computer (Start > Shut Down > Restart)

3) Try linking again with the AT&T dialer.

If you still receive the same error after following the above instruction then please disable the Microsoft Proxy Client (if you do not know how to do this then please ask your network administrator or IT manager).

 Domain Login

AT&T have advised that this error may occur if you are logging into a Windows NT, 2000 or XP domain (if you are uncertain if your computer logs on to a domain then please ask your Network Administrator or IT manager). To resolve this issue please try logging on to your computer without logging on to the domain.

 Dial-up Networking Phone Book Entry

Remove the AT&T Global Network dial-up networking phone book entry (click here for information on how to do this).

 Modem Speed

If you still encounter problems then try reducing the speed of your modem (click here for information on how to do this).

 Disable IPSEC Policy Agent

If you are running Windows 2000 or XP, it is possible that the IPSEC Policy Agent may be blocking the connection to IBM. To disable the IPSEC Policy Agent, follow the instructions below:

1) Open Control Panel

2) Open Administrative Tools

3) Open Services

4) Scroll down the list until you find IPSEC Policy Agent (or IPSEC Services); double-click to open the properties window.

5) Click the Stop button

6) Change the Startup type to Disabled

7) Click OK

8) Close the Services window (File > Exit)

9) Restart the computer and try connecting using the AT&T Dialer.

 Disable other VPN software

AT&T have advised that other software used for VPN's might cause this error. Please ask your network administrator or IT manager to disable any other VPN software on the computer and try connecting again using the AT&T Dialer.

If none of these solutions resolve the problems you are experiencing, please refer to the article on resolving error 19060.
