AT&T Error 10054 – Connection reset by peer

Please try linking again, if this fails then wait for about 30 minutes and try again.

This error can sometimes be caused by incorrect host settings, please follow the steps below to ensure that your settings are correct:

1) Open Windows Explorer

2) Select the C: drive, the WINLINK folder and then the EXPWIN sub-folder.

3) Right-click on the HOSTNAME.FIL file, click Open with.., select NOTEPAD from the list of programs and click OK.

4) Notepad will open and the contents of the file will be displayed. Check that the file contains the following 2 lines (note that the arrow character on the second line may appear as a rectangle or a # on some systems):

194.32.223.47 3000          # EUR  - Europe, Hong Kong


5) If the file does not contain these 2 lines, then close notepad and click here to download a replacement file. Save the new file in the C:\WINLINK\EXPWIN\ folder, overwriting the existing file.
