
Konnexions v1c - Uninstalling (revert back to
Extract Connect)
WARNING: These instructions will not
work if you have tried to install Konnexions more than once.
If you need to uninstall Konnexions v1c and revert back
to Extract Connect then please follow the steps below:
1) Open Windows Explorer
2) Open the folder C:\extractw
3) Rename the connect.exe file to connectv1c.exe
(i.e. select the Connect.exe file, press F2, type Connectv1c.exe and
press [Enter]).
Note: If you have the hide known extensions option
switched on then instead of seeing a file called connect.exe,
the file will simply appear with the name connect
4) Rename the connect.prk file to connect.exe
5) Delete knxv1c.exe
6) Open the folder C:\extractw\comms
7) Delete the expedite folder (and its contents)
8) Rename the expedite.prk folder to expedite
9) Minimise all windows
10) Right-click on the Windows desktop and select New
> Shortcut
11) When prompted for the location of the item, enter
C:\extractw\connect.exe
12) Click Next
13) When prompted for the shortcut name enter Connect
Application
14) Click Finish
15) Delete the Konnexions v1c icon from your
desktop
You can now use this new Connect Application
shortcut to run Extract Connect.
If you still experience problems after following these
instructions, please don’t hesitate to contact Kewill and advise
of the same or new error.
IMPORTANT: During September 2003 the
old method of connecting to IBM will be removed and you will no longer
be able to connect to the IBM network using Extract Connect. You must
upgrade to Konnexions as soon as possible.
